Editing & Consulting Services
In addition to my full-time role as managing editor for a non-profit publication, I’m a freelance editor trained in The Associated Press Stylebook and The Chicago Manual of Style. My capacities span from developmental editing to proofreading, and my specialized interests include poetry, memoir, essay and creative non-fiction, and academic writing.
I center my editing practice in a translingual approach to writing, which deprioritizes the standardization of language and instead asks what language and form can do for the writer to best serve and communicate their intentions. I love to consult writers at any stage of manuscript development, and I bring curiosity and enthusiasm to our work together.
